Who we are
This website, newfoundmed.com, is operated by Autonomous Clinical Intelligence, Inc. ("Newfound Medical," "we," "us"), based in San Mateo, California. You can reach us at privacy@newfoundmed.com.
What this policy covers
This policy describes how we handle information collected through this website. It does not cover health information created or received in the course of clinical care. When we begin providing clinical services, that information will be governed by a separate Notice of Privacy Practices under HIPAA and California's Confidentiality of Medical Information Act.
Information we collect
Information you send us
This site does not currently collect information through forms. If you email us — for example, to join our waitlist — we receive whatever you choose to include, typically your name and email address.
Aggregate usage data
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they read. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not track you across other websites. We see aggregate counts, not individuals.
Server logs
Our hosting provider records standard technical information — IP address, browser type, the page requested, and a timestamp — to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- We do not run advertising or marketing trackers on this site.
- We do not use cookies for advertising or analytics.
Mobile information and text messages
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties or lead generators.
We do not currently send text messages. If we introduce them, we will obtain your express consent first, tell you what to expect, and give you a way to stop them at any time.
Please do not send us health information
This website is not a secure channel for medical information. Please do not include symptoms, diagnoses, medications, or medical history in an email to us. If you do, we will treat it confidentially and use it only to respond to you — but the right place for clinical information is a visit with a clinician, not this site.
How we use information
- To respond to you when you contact us.
- To let you know when we open to patients, if you asked to be told.
- To operate, secure, and improve the website.
- To meet legal obligations.
Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that operate the site and our email on our behalf — currently our hosting provider and our email provider — and only so they can perform those services. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our patients, our people, or the public.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist and inquiry emails until they are no longer needed for the purpose you sent them, or until you ask us to delete them. Server logs are retained on our hosting provider's standard schedule.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use it.
- Request a copy of that information.
- Request that we delete it.
- Request that we correct it if it is inaccurate.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information — though as stated above, we do not sell or share it.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
To make a request, email privacy@newfoundmed.com. We will verify your request by replying to the address you contacted us from.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS. We keep the information we hold to a minimum, which is the most reliable protection we can offer.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We will update this policy as our services change, and will revise the "last updated" date above when we do.
